02.13.08Here are the charts. Two good things. First of all, I am personally stoked
that Widespread Panic tops our Tuesday new release sales. This is their tenth record (I think) and one of their best. After a very traumatic few years since losing their founding guitarist, Michael Houser, to cancer, the band has rebuilt its momentum. The key was getting uber guitarist Jimmy Herring to joint up. This is a great record.
The other good news is that Jack Johnson delivered a February surprise. I hear his sales are huge around the world and UP significantly from the last street week in the US. Just like the old days. Develop that fan base and feed them what they want. Great job by all involved.
