CIMS Weekly Chart : Week Ending 11/26/2015 ( Black Friday Edition)

Week Ending 11/26/2015

Greetings,

Well, it was a real mixed bag for the CIMS stores on Black Friday this year. Many of the stores were up single and even double digits and several were flat with the previous year, but considering that last year most of the stores were up significantly, they were still happy. A few of the stores were down, but either weather or competing events contributed to their struggle to meet last year's numbers. The big news this year seemed to be that Small Business Saturday really took off for the stores; generally everyone saw an uptick in business and most of the customers were there for the right reasons — to celebrate the independent store. Thanks to everyone who contributed to the special releases for the day; it takes a lot of effort to bring these goodies to market.

Speaking of Small Business Saturday, our own Rand Foster from Fingerprints in Long Beach made an appearance on the Today Show that we want to share — nice job, Rand. It's a testament to why we all still like what we do.
