CIMS Selections
Here's what the CIMS staffers are fancying this week:

Scott Register - ThinkIndie A&R
Twenty One Pilots- Blurryface (Fueled By Ramen/WEA)

I've had my eyes and ears on this duo for a few years and have been waiting for all the pieces to come together. It happened on Blurryface. Today's musicians have the luxury of decades of great music and artists to pull from. I've anxiously waited for an artist to come along that combined many things I've liked (and disliked) through the years and make it their own. Listening to Twenty One Pilots is like listening to someone with multiple personality disorder the way the music flows from hip-hop to rock to EDM to reggae and on and on. But guess what, it works. And the live show, forget about it. You'll be seeing this act headlining major shows in the not so distant future.
