CIMS Weekly Chart: Week Ending 3/10/17

Week Ending 3/10/2017

This week we bid farewell to Lenny Silver. Lenny started in the music business when 78’s were the dominate format. He began as a stockroom attendant in Buffalo, NY, graduated to promotions work, and then in 1964, he opened a wholesale business. He created the Amherst Record label then opened his first Record Theatre record store in 1976. He grew that business to 37 locations throughout the Northeast and at one time had the largest record store on the planet. In a world of specialization, Lenny did it all. He was a real music guy. Rest in Peace, Lenny.
