CIMS Selections
Here's what the CIMS staffers are fancying this week:

Scott Register - ThinkIndie A&R
Portugal. The Man- Woodstock (Atlantic/WEA)

I hear a lot of folks are bitching about this album and referring to it as a “sellout” or “too commercial.” WTH? I’ve been a fan of this band since album one and I can’t stop listening to Woodstock. If this means I have bad taste, I can live with it. Give me this album all day long.

Nicole Atkins- Goodnight Rhonda Lee (Single Lock Records)

While I’m on the subject of albums I can’t stop listening to, Goodnight Rhonda Lee is getting a ton of spins too. Nicole Atkins has found her sweet spot and made one of my favorite albums of the year so far. You better listen up!
