Fingerprints Long Beach, CA: Dead Sara

The wailing rally cries of Rage Against the Machine and the urban blues punk of the Kills were two major components of Dead Sara's first single "Weatherman," but the song also filled a gap left after the decline of grunge, as a straightforward, guitar-driven rock & roll anthem in the spirit of L7 and Hole. Led by the raspy, dynamic vocals of Emily Armstrong and guitarist Siouxsie Medley. As they started building a fan base through touring, Dead Sara's acclaim reached the ears of Courtney Love, who invited Armstrong to sing on an upcoming Hole album. Also, after seeing them live, Jefferson Airplane's Grace Slick talked the band up in several music publications.

After the success of their self-titled debut, Dead Sara are back with the follow-up, Pleasure to Meet You, and meet you they will - right after they lay down a scorching acoustic set, right here at the shop.

We are opening the guest list with purchase of either Pleasure to Meet You or their self-titled debut. To pre-order, please drop in or call us at 562.433.4996. If space allows when we're closer, we will open the guest list first come, first served (still with RSVP).
