SWAMP TROTTER is a collection of five multi-instrumentalists from Rochester, NY conjuring fresh Midwest psych folk. Our all-original English and French songs bring together groovy beats, acoustic and electric guitar collaboration and melodic vocal harmonies.
We were born in the Meddlesome Lab, Rochester NY two years ago and now call home to the Elmhurst Music Studio. Over our respective careers, we have found inspiration in artists like Wilco, Phoenix, Fleet Foxes and Neutral Milk Hotel just to name a few of many. Our music has been performed at local Rochester, NY venues such as Meddlesome Lab, Lovin' Cup, ButaPub, Bug Jar, Monty's Krown and Press Coffee and has aired on WITR 89.7 FM.
Live Swamp Trotter shows are a simple production - we readily supply our own instruments and amplifiers for every performance. We do not have our own sound person and do not bring stage light show. Our fan base is in its early stages and grows with each show as we meet more and more fantastic local or touring bands and dive ever deeper into Rochester's independent music scene.
