Hi Everyone,

This week we are all busy gearing up for RSD Black Friday and the holidays, which just like everything else in 2020, will surely look and feel different for most of us.

Small business has been on my mind pretty much constantly this year for obvious reasons, but even more so right now. I am not just talking about our record stores, but all small businesses. These establishments are the essence of our communities, the ones that make them unique. These businesses are ones that make you want to travel to other cities to visit, and are oftentimes at least one of the reasons you may end up where you are. That it is why this season, it is more important than ever to show our support and give back to those businesses.

Keeping that front of mind, I have personally committed myself to shop small this year and I challenge you all to do the same. I know it can bring big results to those that need it most.

In other news, one of our own, Mik Davis of T- Bones Records and Café in Hattiesburg, MS was featured on this week’s RSD podcast along with Margo Price, Patterson Hood and Benmont Tench. They all joined host Paul Myers to celebrate the legacy of Tom Petty (a personal fave) as well as to talk about the release of Wildflowers And All the Rest, which is a beautifully done package and a must-have addition for any Petty fan.
