Hi Everyone,

We are officially a month out from Summer Camp, where we all come together to celebrate the Independent Record Stores across the nation, share ideas and learn from one another. It is one of my favorite weeks of the year and I am looking forward to seeing everyone again. Last year was our first year back together after the pandemic and I remember being struck by how much knowledge and experience I was surrounded by. It is something that continues to inspire me to do what I do.

Speaking of “songs of experience”, this year marks 50 Years of selling records in Austin, TX for John Kunz, owner of Waterloo Records! In typical fashion, Waterloo will not disappoint with the good times and events over this week and next. From Monday, July 3rd, through Sunday, July 16th, they will be celebrating John's anniversary with in-store performances, record signings, book signings, storewide sales, and fundraising for non-profit community radio stations.

John, congratulations on 50 Years of selling records and serving your community. You are a treasured member of CIMS!
