Hi Everyone,

This weekend, my friend and colleague Eric Levin will be throwing a big ole’ party with his fellow Criminals to celebrate 35 years of Criminal Records! This fact has made me fondly remember the Atlanta day trips of my youth. We would pile into my best friend’s Volkswagen Fox, where we all learned to drive a manual transmission, and you could make it to Atlanta AND back on about 10 bucks of gas! First stop, Stratosphere to get the newest in skate gear, Abbadabba's for the Fluevogs, Wish…because it was so cool, and of course Criminal Records and Junkman’s Daughter before hitting the Lennox food court or Fillini's to refuel before a show that night! Some of the best memories of my life.

I used to joke with Don (VanCleave) when he hired me on at CIMS that he basically owed me a job because he took every allowance dollar and most of every first job paycheck I ever got. Eric, you took the rest!

It is funny how we all came back around later down the path.

Eric, congratulations to you and the Criminal Records team for 35 years of giving the kids a place to hang out (even when it was REAL scary to go up to that tall counter and confess what albums you wanted to buy) and get the good stuff! Here is to many more, my friend!
