CIMS CHARTS: WEEK ENDING 9/4/25
Hey everyone,
This week, I want to call out not only one of the legendary members of CIMS, but of indie retail in general, Waterloo Records in Austin, Texas!
Last week, they reopened their doors to the public in their new location at 1105 North Lamar, just a few blocks from their previous location. With this move, Waterloo is bringing some pretty stellar new features to the Austin community, such as a podcast recording room, bar, mixing studio, and gold record pressing room—all in addition to a larger shopping space. I want to send a huge congrats out to the new Waterloo owners, Caren Kelleher (also president of Gold Rush Vinyl) and Trey Watson, and of course, the Waterloo O.G., John Kunz, as well as the rest of the Waterloo team. I know how much work has gone into making this move happen, so hats off to all of you!
Way to go, Waterloo! Here’s to many more incredible music memories being created in this new space!
